ENVIROTECH 2004 is a direct follow-up of ENVIROTECH 1999. It is essentially a conference
congregating professionals from many fields (engineering, science, technology, academia,
research institutions, public and private sectors) to present and discuss decisive issues
and subsequently debate and adopt resolutions targeting the preservation and betterment
of Haiti's natural environment. The means and mechanism will be derived from the academic,
technical and professional experience and recommendations of the presenters, scholars and
graduate students from many leading institutions in Haiti and from the world over.
This event will take place under the auspices of the HAES (Haitian American Association of
Engineers and Scientists) in close collaboration with FAN (Federation des Amis de la Nature)
and FHE (Fondation Haitienne de l'Environnement). The conference sessions will be hosted in
Haiti from November 15th to the 20th under the theme 'clean energy for a sustainable Haiti'.
